U2 Leads List of Music Top Earners

Making money in the music business is about selling concert tickets. In fact, Forbes magazine suggests, that it appears to be the only way to make significant money in the music business. The more successful concerts, the more you earn. Forbes has issued its Top-10-earners list of musicians between June 2009 and June 2010, and only two of them, Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas, have had abundant sales of recorded music.


Bret Michael's Comeback After Brain Haemorrhage

Just three months ago, Former Poison front man Bret Michaels, battled a brain haemorrhage, appendicitis and other maladies, certainly looked as if nothing happened while performing Wednesday at Allentown’s Crocodile Rock Café. After returning from the battle of his health problems, he played his first solo outing with the opening slot on Lynyrd Skynyrd’s tour, Michaels flat-out rocked the show.


U2's North American Leg Rescheduled

Irish rock band U2 has rescheduled the dates for the North American leg of their 360 tour for Spring/Summer 2011. The promoter said tickets are still valid for the rescheduled performance of the band. The North American leg will kick off on May 21 next year at Invesco Field in Denver and will end on July 23, 2011 in Minneapolis, music Concert Company Live Nation Entertainment said.


Bon Jovi Injures Himself at New Jersey Concert

New Jersey’s native singer Bon Jovi injured himself toward the end of the band's concert which ran for two and a half hours at the New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford on Friday night.  The singer, who was raised in Sayreville, New Jersey, injured his leg during a cover of the Dave Clark Five hit "Glad All Over."


Bret Michaels Continues to Recover But Suffers Side Effect

Rocker and reality TV star Bret Michaels continues to recover after suffering a brain hemorrhage last week. However, the 47 year old has developed a side effect that causes seizures according to a statement posted on the former Poison front man’s website. The condition is called hyponatremia and stems from a lack of sodium.

Bon Jovi's sold 292,000 copies of "Lost Highway" in the week ended June 24 topping U.S. album charts for the first time since 1988.  The rock duo, White Stripes debut No 2, their personal best with their latest release. This is the groups biggest one week sales since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales data in 1991.


Scott Stapp Arrested for Assault

Well it isn't just rapper's getting arrested.  Former Creed lead singer Scott Stapp was arrested at his home and charged with assault related to domestic violence.  Reports didn't indicate who Stapp assaulted.  According to police, no one was injured or taken to the hospital.

Brad Delp - Lead Singer of Boston Has Died

Brad Delp, the lead singer for the band Boston, has died at the age of 55. The singer was found dead Friday in his home in southern New Hampshire. Brad Delp was born in Danvers, Massachusetts, with his interest in music beginning at 13 years old, when he purchased a guitar after seeing the Beatles perform on The Ed Sullivan Show.


Pete Doherty Banned From Driving

What is up with Pete Doherty? He has been banned from driving for two months announced at a court hearing in London, England. Doherty was also fined $600 in court after he was charged with driving without insurance or a license. Doherty was warned that he will be sent to prison if he repeats the offense. Ouch! Isn't prison a little too harsh? It's not like he was driving drunk. Those Brits I tell you.

British newspapers previously reported that Supermodel Kate Moss and rocker Pete Doherty had tied the knot during a candlelit Buddhist ceremony in Thailand on New Year's Day. Newspapers, the Sun and the Daily Mirror didn't provide sources for the information. The Mirror quoted an unnamed friend of Moss as saying the ceremony was an expression of the couple's mutual devotion.


McCartney Working On Stage Show About His Early Life

Paul McCartney is collaborating with a cousin on a stage show about his early life, the Daily Telegraph has reported. Actress Kate Robbins was quoted as saying that she and McCartney were cooperating on an adaptation of the ex-Beatle's "Liverpool Oratorio."
