Al Jarreau in Critical Condition in France

The 70-year-old U.S. jazz singer Al Jarreau was rushed in the hospital in France on Friday after collapsing on stage the previous evening. He is still in a critical condition after suffering from respiratory problems.  He was in concert in Barcelonnette in the southeast of France when the incident happened.

Tenor saxophonist Michael Brecker died Saturday at the age of 57. Brecker died in a hospital in New York City of leukemia. Becker won 11 Grammys in his more than 30 year career. Becker had struggled with myelodysplastic syndrome, a cancer in which the bone marrow stops producing enough healthy blood cells. The disease, known as MDS, often progresses to leukemia..
