Women’s cable channel oxygen is launching a new show. Singer Aubrey O’Day is returning to reality TV with her own show in the network. She is the former lead vocalist of all-girl band Danity Kane and was discovered in 2004 as part of MTV's series "Making the Band." Producer and judge Sean Combs famously fired O'Day during an episode of the show two years ago.

In the mid-1960s, Lonnie Youngblood was a hotshot sax player on the New York club circuit when he met Jimmy James, a young musician expert on the electric guitar.  James played in Youngblood's band; he went back to using his real last name and conquered the music world as Jimi Hendrix, while Youngblood fronted a series of rhythm and blues bands that toured with '60s legends including James Brown and Jackie Wilson.

Ok, is this a joke?  Bill Cosby will be releasing a rap album titled "Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency."  Bill Cosby wants to be a rapper.  Ok Bill we get the message, you don't have to rap to us about it. According to the Associated Press, the 70-year-old tv/movie-star/comedian and outspoken opponent of profanity-laced, misogynistic rap has put together an effort that blends his concepts and stories with a hip-hop, pop and jazz soundtrack.

Eddie is the daddy!  Recent reports have confirmed that Eddie Murphy is the father of Angel Iris Murphy Brown, daughter to Melania Brown (A.K.A. Scary Spice & Mel B's). Eddie has never publicly acknowledged the baby was his.  Thirty two year old Melania Brown and Eddie were dating.

The NYPD is watching you! It seems the infamous NYPD was spying on a few African American recording artists in the month prior to the 2004 Republican National Convention.  According to documents made public yesterday, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Jay-Z, LL Cool J and Alicia Keys were all monitored by police in the months before the 2004 RNC.

Ok, it's not a rapper getting in trouble this time.  It's Boy George!  The English pop star is in trouble again.  My man Boy George was arrested on suspicion of assault and wrongful imprisonment last Saturday morning after one of his male acquaintance filed a complaint against him. According to Auden Carlsen, 28, Boy George invited him to pose for some erotic photographs.

Lou Rawls Suing Marvin Gay

Lou Rawls is suing Marvin Gay. Lou Rawls Jr. and Marvin Gay III that is. Lou Rawls son is suing the Marvin Gaye's son, claiming he was attacked by "four large dogs" during a visit to Gaye's Hollywood home in 2005. The complaint was filed last week in Los Angeles Superior Court by Lou Rawls Jr. against Marvin Gaye III.
