Michael Jackson Working on 25th Anniversary Edition of Thriller

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has been working on his 25th anniversary edition of his "Thriller" album that will feature remixes of four tracks as CD extras. The tracks that will be remixed are "Billie Jean," "The Girl Is Mine," "Wanna Be Starting Something" and "Pretty Young Thing." Additionally, four tracks left off "Thriller" in 1983 will be included. The remixes will include work by Kanye West, Akon, and will.i.am. Thriller 25" will be released by Sony.

Akon is in getting some attention again for his onstage performances. Hey at least it keeps him in the news! Akon is being investigated by the Fishkill, New York police after footage leaked onto the Internet showing him toss a young male into the crowd during a concert. It seems it may be a stunt because no one really looked concerned in the video.

One bad decision can cost you a lot of money. Verizon Wireless V Cast has dropped Akon in their commercials as a result of his simulated sex act onstage (see pics & video) with a 14 year old girl. In a statement released by Verizon, "This week the partnership ended. We have music services on our cell phone service and we were promoting him as one of the artists.

Akon is in some hot water. The R&B singer pulled a 14 year old female on stage during a concert (in Port of Spain, Trinidad) and engaged in simulated sex acts with the girl. The father, Pastor Dave Alleyne of the Flaming Word Ministry of Chaguanas, of the girl is outraged and has called the act “atrocious” but refuses to lay total blame on Akon. Needless to say the video has popped up all over the Internet.
