Cocoa Tea & Mighty Sparrow Release Songs to Support Obama

 | The Caribbean people are also giving props to presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama. Reggae/dancehall superstar Cocoa Tea (A.K.A. Calvin Scott) has recorded a song dedicated to Obama titled "Barack Obama". While Trinidadian calypso superstar Mighty Sparrow has a song out called "Barack the Magnificent". (See Videos) |
Cocoa Tea's track will be released this week by New York-based VP Records. Cocoa Tea refers to Obama as a "trendsetter" and urges Americans "to unite as one" behind him. Cocoa Tea sings, "This is not about class nor color, race nor creed....It's about the changes, what the Americans need."
