Bobby Suing Ex-wife for Custody & Money

May 14, 2007 7:01 PM | Bobby Brown | R&B | Whitney Houston | Comments (0)

Damn, poor Bobby Brown. All that money!  All that fame!  And now he's dead broke and suing his famous ex-wife Whitney Houston for custody of their 14 year old daughter.   Where the hell are all his rich famous friends (like the former New Edition members) to help him out? What the hell happened?

I know what happened?  Being famous and rich too young! No respect for work!  No respect for money!  Money came too easy! Getting on drugs! According to Bobby, "It was no secret that I (as well as Whitney) had financial commitments which we could not meet," the suit reads. "Additionally, after Whitney and I had separated, I had no where to go and very little money to live on. I was, for all intents and purposes, homeless. My marriage had fallen apart, I was without a home, I had no money, and I was experiencing legal problems associated with my child support obligations. It is no wonder that by the end of 2006 I had become distraught and depressed."

Bobby was unable to buy a plane ticket to Boston to appear at a contempt hearing on the delinquent child support for his two other kids, which landed him in jail for four days, so he couldn't fight for custody of Bobbi Kristina. He said Whitney told him she'd give him six months to respond to see if they could reach common ground.  However, after finding out that Whitney sought a default judgment in order to fast-track the divorce and win custody of Bobbi Kristina, Brown says he was shocked and, "simply put, could not believe it."
In the custody hearing, Whitney told the court that Bobby is "unreliable. If he says he's going to come, sometimes he does. Usually he doesn't." But Brown says in his filing, "I believe I have a wonderful relationship with my daughter Bobbi Kris - a relationship that I would like to see strengthen and grow."
Bobby wants shared custody, child support and spousal support, and says he doesn't believe that Houston has provided a copy of their prenuptial agreement to the court. He admits that Houston verbally told him that their prenupual excludes spousal support, but he says he doesn't have a copy of the document.
A court date for Brown's new case was set for June 15. Poor Bobby Brown! Next thing we'll hear, he's living in his car. Maybe he will then get another reality show.
