George Michael to Appear in Court for Driving Charges

George Michael has got problems! The now 43-year-old singer is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 11, 2007 on charges of being unfit to drive, after the singer was arrested last Oct. 2 after police responded to complaints that a car was blocking an intersection in north London. Police said Michael was found passed out inside the car. He received a caution for possession of marijuana and was released on bail on charges of being unfit to drive.

Last April, George Michael he hit three parked cars. Michael later acknowledged in an interview that he was a "terrible driver" and said he was trying to maneuver out of a parking spot. George Michael rose to fame in the 1980s as half of the duo Wham! before starting his solo career. Additionally, police had warned Michael for possession of marijuana last February.
